PedroÁlvares Cabral was born in 1467 in
Portugal and died in 1520. Pedro Alvares Cabral was a very kind man with lots of knowledge. He had a wife called Dona Isabel de Castrio and got 6 children with her. In the 1500 he was sent by the convert some of the Muslims to Christianity to go and get spices from India. He set sail with 1500 people including him with 13 ships. On the way to India on the 22 of April 1500 he discovered new land and named it Brazil. When he and his crew were on their boat traveling to India they took animals with them and slaughtered them when they needed it for food. They used the wind to push them, when there was no wind, they used oars. Luckily they didn’t have to go through any obstacles like they didn’t have to go through any sicknesses but he and his crow got attacked once by the Portuguese people which found out that he wanted to take the land over. When they found new land everybody was happy even the native Brazils welcomed them but when they found out that Pedro Alvares Cabral wanted to take Brazil offer they were scared.
